10 Ways College Friends Are Better Than Friends From Home

Majority of high school friendships fade over the years when everyone goes separate ways to follow their dreams. College is an experience that is difficult to do alone. Living with people in college, away from your parents, gives your college friendships a stronger bond than with any other people you meet throughout your lifetime.

When going to college, expect to make some of the best friends of your life since you're going to need each other to figure it out together. You might even be surprised to discover ways your college friends are better than some of the friendships you've had for years.

1. They didn't know you during your awkward phase in middle school.

You'll never have to worry about them pulling out that old yearbook from 2006.

2. They're just as broke as you.

You'll always have someone to understand the guilt of asking mom or dad for money.

3. They don't know the mistakes you've made in high school.

You'll never have to worry about being judged based on your past.

4. They'll be in your wedding.

You'll always have them as life-long friends since you've been through it all together.

5. They're your family away from home.

You'll never feel un-loved or misunderstood.

6. They get on the same eating schedule as you.

You'll always have someone to go to the dining hall with or order take-out.

7. They're always down to do something fun.

You'll never be bored and always have someone to party with.

8. They don't care how big or small your house is.

You'll have friends who love you for who you are as a person.

9. They're always close by.

You'll never be lonely or go through tough-times (or finals week) alone.

10. They have the same goals as you.

You'll always have someone rooting for you to succeed who has been by your side from the beginning.

Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. 6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
