With 4 years of working in a restaurant under my belt, the quote "you learn something new every day" has never been truer. In all honesty, when you are the person in between a guest and their food, things can get pretty messy. No pun intended. Let "Gilmore Girls" remind us to not do these 10 things when dining at restaurants or, as a matter of fact, anywhere:
1. Walking past the hostess stand to find your own table...(which usually turns into triple seating one server while no one else has a table).
2. "If I come in 5 minutes before the restaurant closes, will you still serve me?"
3. Critiquing the decor of the restaurant.
4. Eating your entire dinner and then complaining how terrible it was.
5. "What's the best item on the menu?" "Probably the salmon." "Ew, I hate salmon."
6. Choose the only dirty table to sit at.
7. Yelling "Opa!" when something drops.
8. Complain that the well-done steak you ordered is taking too long.
9. Call a hostess over to the table and tell them how terrible something is.
10. Not tipping on to-go or carryout orders.
11. And still, you have to remember "the guest is always right."
