I started to go vegan four months ago. Sometimes, I miss my grilled cheese.
At first, I wouldn’t have been able to make a vegan alternative, until I discovered Daiya. It opened a whole world that I didn’t know existed--vegan alternatives for everyday foods. Here are the best ones that I’ve found (so far!).
1. Daiya Cheddar Style Shreds
Great for recipes (did somebody say baked potatoes?).
2. Field Roast Frankfurters
These are honestly better for you than real hot dogs.
3. Daiya Cheeze Lover’s Pizza
Who said vegans had to give up pizza?
4. Hilary’s World’s Best Veggie Burger
It honestly might be the world’s best veggie burger! It’s so yummy.
5. Daiya Creamy Caesar Dairy-Free Dressing
It’s a little thick, and kind of tough to get out of the bottle, but it is pretty creamy!
6. Earth Balance Soy-Free Buttery Spread
The soy free version of Earth Balance is healthier than the regular kind!
7. Daiya Provolone Style Slices
My personal favorite for grilled cheese.
8. Daiya Plain Cream Cheeze Style Spread
Goes great with bagels.
9. Field Roast Apple Maple Breakfast Sausage
Cook these up with some toast, and you’re golden.
10. Daiya Deluxe Alfredo Style Cheezy Mac
This is my favorite vegan alternative I’ve found so far. It’s so rich.
11. And, of course, Oreos
Well, they're not strickly vegan, since there's cross-contact with milk. However, I still eat them because they don't have any milk in them.
