Ah, Valentine's Day... A very pink and red day with either a lot of sugar or a lot of tears. For those of you who are anticipating your first V-day with your partner, you might have these several questions regarding the pressure of this Hallmark holiday.
1. Am I expected to do something too?
2. Do I get him flowers? Should I also get him some chocolates?
3. It doesn’t seem healthy that I care about how this Valentine’s Day goes for us compared to those of other couples...
4. Is he expecting me to open the door looking any different to him? Am I supposed to wear something special or sexy?
5. Should I act genuinely surprised when he gives me a gift?
6. What should I say or do if he doesn’t get me one?
7. Is it the day that I tell him that I love him… or is it still too early? I really don’t want this to happen:
8. Do we talk about what it’s like to be single on Valentine’s Day? (Because I’ve heard some guys talk about how they would rather be single just to avoid it)
9. Is Valentine’s Day sex any different?
10. At the end of everything you wonder if your partner had a good corporate owned Hallmark holiday (Hopefully they did!)
For those of you not single on this day, good luck on figuring out how to handle everything. Though it is the first Valentine's Day with your love, know that money isn't everything because your company is and should mean the most.
