The semester is almost over and everyone knows what that means, FINALS!!! They happen every semester yet every time they come around we all have difficulty getting through the last 3 weeks of the semester. Here are so tips to try and help you survive this semesters finals.

1. Study With Friends

Sometimes studying with someone makes the stress a little easier to take because you know you aren't the only one struggling. It also makes it easier for you not to goof off. Having friends that will keep you on track makes studying for those horrible test that much easier.

2. Don't miss a meal just to study

Classes aren't worth more than your health. It's important to remember to eat something and keep up your strength. Grab some friends and go get something to eat. Once you've eaten then go back to the books and can focus a little better on what you are studying.

3. Caffeinate

There are going to be a lot of late nights and or early mornings, so get some caffeine rolling through your system.

4. Cry

It's ok to be stressed and it's ok to cry because the stress is just that much to handle.

5. Get some sleep

You aren't going to remember your calculus or your laws if you don't get some shut eye especially the night before the exam. Try and get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. If you are worried about your exam and still want to get more studying done then set an alarm and wake up early to start your work. Just definitely try and get some sleep.

6. Reward yourself

When you've completed a large part of what you needed to for a final assignment, reward yourself by watching an episode of your favorite tv show, or watching a movie, going out with friends, getting some sleep for the first time in a few days. Whatever you do just be sure to reward yourself on what you have accomplished.

7. Study Alone

This may contradict the first point made but some people can't study with others around them and that's ok. Find a place that you can sit by yourself and do what you need to do to study.

8. Remember you aren't alone in this

We are all trying to get through these next three weeks with as little stress as possible.

9. It's only a test

At the end of the day your final is just another test. Sure there are some classes that your final might make the biggest impact on your grade but that doesn't mean they have to run your life.

10. Relax

Everyone on campus is going through the same thing you are. Take a deep breath and relax. It's just another test and you have taken thousands of them before. You know what you have to do to pass these finals and only you can pass them. You got this!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
