Big Bang Theory is one of the best TV shows ever created. I am more invested in BBT than I am in macaroni and cheese (and that is saying a lot). I do not know who is my favorite character is because I love them all so much, but I do relate to Penny so often that it is hard to ignore. Penny is just that friend that we all see as ourselves every now and again. I have found ten distinct moments in the show that she has explained something in my life perfectly and probably yours as well.

1. What is Morning?

I know that we have all been there. And I probably go there more often than not. Who ever invented waking up at 8 a.m. or earlier for anything (class, work, workouts, ANYTHING) should have to clean up after that drunk friend every. single. night.

2. Knowing the important things

Let's be real. Knowing who the current bachelor is, how long mascara lasts, and knowing all the dance moves to Magic Mike XXL's dances are way more important than reading a textbook that contains words that I cannot even pronounce.

3. Listening to important conversations

We all go through this conversation that we don't really want to listen to. We all wish they would just stop. Penny just can vocalize it way better than any of us can. If I try to get out of those unwanted conversations, I just sound mean.

4. That one friend

I LOVE when I catch my friend crawling back home the next morning. Penny just has created the perfect greeting for that friend when you find them trying to sneak back home without you noticing.

5. BURN

When that one friend also burns you so bad that you can't think of a comeback. You just want to let them have that win. Good one... touché.

6. I'm With Stupid

When someone asks you a question that your 6-year-old little sister could answer...You just need to get away and find a solution.

7. S***, What Did I Do...

Making an idiot of yourself in front of a cute boy. Saying something inappropriate to your professor or boss. Your parents finding something that they should not find. Tucking your skirt into the back of your panties... If you need more situations, shoot me a text or something. I can help you figure them out.

8. Oh Hell Nah

An open letter to the person that made your best friend cry.... you're a b****.

9. My Life 90% of the Time

We all go through these phases. Nothing ever goes how you expect it to go. Something you just have to yell it out. That always makes it better... or number ten makes it better.

10. The Best Solution

When you or your friend has a problem or situation. If you are upset and don't know what to do, Penny has found the answer.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
