Getting out of bed can be tough but the thoughts that come with it makes it 10X worse

College is great because you get to be in control of your schedule. As classes start and you have to work, getting out of bed in the morning can be a pain. Here are 10 thoughts that go through everyone's head when it's time to get out of bed:

1. What time is it?

It cannot be morning already.

2. I can hit the snooze button just once.

Seriously, an extra 5 minutes won't hurt.

3. Do I really need a job?

Being a housewife/husband can't be that bad.

4. Skipping class this one time won't hurt.

One absence won't hurt my grade, right?

5. Maybe the class is cancelled.

*Checks E-mail* Okay, maybe not.

6. Are pajamas acceptable for class?

I mean its college, no one really gets dressed for class.

7. Did we have homework?

If I didn't do the homework, why should I even go?

8. Maybe binge watching 8 episodes of Shameless wasn't a good idea.

9. I should really start going to bed early.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
