Each year, millions gather around a television set for hours to watch the year’s two ‘best’ NFL teams compete for the most coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy. And although each year brings about new teams, underdogs and competition, each year we tend to have some of the same thoughts running through our head, because, as much as some like to deny it, the SuperBowl is so much more than just a football game. So here are some thoughts that we’ve had at least a time or two throughout SuperBowl Sunday.
1. Damn, I wish I sounded that good when I sang the National Anthem.
Each year a different artist takes the stage to showcase their vocals and so often we find ourselves wishing we could sound half as good.
2. Aww man, the Budweiser commercial made me tear up again.
Budweiser never seems to disappoint with their beloved Clydesdale horses and adorable puppies both resulting in a few teary eyes around the room.
3. YES, BUFFALO CHICKEN WING DIP.
Whether it's something you wait for all year round or it's a daily staple in your diet no can deny the excitement that buffalo chicken wing dip can bring.
4. They better step up their game I have money on this.
We've all had that moment, it's a couple of minutes before halftime and your team is down, the one year you were sure you had the spread down pat after your tedious mathematical formulas.
5. What’s with the football game in the middle of my concert?
There's always that one person whose only concern is the halftime show and could care less that the underdogs are up by three touchdowns.
6. I wonder if the Jaguars will ever make the Super Bowl.
Enough said.
7. Wait where’d all the food go…
You find yourself all caught up in the game until you go to scoop some more salsa onto your chip and you're terrified to find that it's all gone.
8. …and the beer
And then the worst of all, it was bad enough that your food ran out, but now the beer, say it ain't so.
The undeniable truth, that regardless if you care about the game or not you can't deny that having Beyoncé back for the halftime show would be the all time best decision that the NFL could make.
10. I wish I was going to Disneyworld.
And when it's all said and done, even if your team did come out on top, you realize that even if the QB is going to Disneyworld, you most likely aren't.
