Potterheads rejoiced this weekend as the prequel to the beloved Harry Potter series was released nationwide. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is another story from the magical world. Taking place in New York City, fifty years (or so) before Harry Potter, Newt Schemander finds himself in a bind when his case of magical creatures go missing in the middle of Manhattan.

J.K. Rowling reminds us once more why we fell in love with her writing with an original screenplay, and it was absolutely the best thing of 2016. Here are ten thoughts every Harry Potter fan probably had while returning to the world of Harry Potter.

1. Ahh. There's That Warner Bros Logo

I never thought I would see you for the first time again...Home at last.

2.Those Poor House Elves

The wizarding world needed S.P.E.W. even then.

3. Why Am I Totally In Love With Percival Graves?

It's that jawline, definitely that jawline. I see you, Colin.

4. Who Is This Woman, And Could I Pull Off That Haircut?

Nope, no, definitely not.

5. DUMBLEDORE? DID HE MENTION DUMBLEDORE?

I knew it. *Patiently awaits the appearence of the legend himself*

6. Where Can I Get One?

Because every single animal in the film was both cute and utterly horrifying all at once.

7. This Necklace Looks Familiar

I've seen you before...

8. There's Something A Little Too 'Tom Riddle' About This Family.

I mean, look at them.

9. That Dress Though

Whomever did the costume design for this film deserves an award.

10. Is That Johnny Depp?

That is definitely Johnny Depp.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
