Spring semester of senior year already? Where has the time gone! How could I be thinking of coming back to college for the last time as a student? I feel like it was just yesterday that I hugged my mom goodbye as she dropped me off at my freshmen dorm. Clearly, time has flown by- especially considering I just registered for my last semester of classes ever. What a stressful experience; my stomach was in knots as I walked into my advisor's office to discuss my spring semester schedule for senior year. When she said, "go online and apply for graduation..." I couldn't breath. I felt like I blinked and 3 and a half years had passed. I took my list of classes, 16 credits left, and went home to register for them.

Here are the 10 thoughts that go through a senior's head while applying for classes for the last time:

** checks registration time **

1. "Typical, I am in the last round of seniors to pick classes. 6:00 PM, can't forget."

** checks availability on classes **

2. "Sh*t they are already all filling up."

3. "If I don't get into all my classes, I won't graduate"

4. "Oh my god, sh*t. What if I don't graduate?"

** stresses about the thought of not graduating for an hour **

** calls home to vent... and cry **

5. "Get a hold of yourself, you're graduating"

** signs in online to register at exactly 6:00 PM **

** website crashes due to hundreds of students signing on at once **

6. "F*CK! I'm not graduating. Why does this school hate me?"

** website loads **

7. "Oh. Ok never mind, I'm good."

** checks box for each class needed **

** hits "register" button **

8. "Prerequisite?! NO! I already took that stupid class!"

** immediately emails advisor, twice **

** advisor responds, "take a deep breath and refresh the page" **

** registration goes through **

9. "Holy sh*t... I am graduating. I'm leaving, that's it and it's all over."

** starts crying... sobbing, uncontrollably **

10. "I don't want to be an adult! Don't make me leave! They can't make me graduate!"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
