Since I won't be going home this Thanksgiving, here are 10 things you should plan if you're not going home this Thanksgiving.
1. Go on a hike.
Hiking is the perfect fall activity because you get to see beautiful places and feel accomplished while also exercising!
2. Explore a nearby City. With everyone out of town, you can explore the city at your leisure
No traffic, no crowds and most importantly no lines for delicious food.
3. Do something Spontaneous… like Skydiving.
Because why not?!?Learn something new.
4. Take up a task for the long weekend and become a master of it.
Wouldn’t it be cool if you could figure out how to do something new and could show everyone what you did during your free time while they were all stuffing their faces with Thanksgiving food?
5. Relax with some Yoga.
Find an awesome yoga and meditation class.
6. Make sure to binge at least one TV show or movie series.
If you didn’t watch thanksgiving episodes of The Office, Friends, Shameless and more, does it count?
7. Buy all the discounted candy and Thanksgiving food to cook.
Who cares if it’s a few days later? Let’s be real, discounted food is the best kind of food.
8. Get ’yo Pumpkin on.
Pumpkin spiced lattes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin-shaped gummies, pumpkin pie, there’s an infinite amount of pumpkin to go around.
9. Treat Yo’self on Black Friday.
What better way to spend the weekend than getting the cutest clothes and unnecessary gadgets at the best deals.
10. Focus on Yourself.
Taking the time to catch up on work that’s overdue or reading that book you’ve been meaning to read all semester is the best way to de-stress and reflect on life and prepare for finals week.
