Working in retail is hard. Not the actual ringing of the register or putting out clothes/product, but dealing with customers and everything else that comes with the job. That's not to say that it's all bad, but here are just a few things that you learn while working in retail.
1. Weekends and holidays don’t actually exist for you.
2. There are two types of people in this world: those who want your help and those who absolutely do not.
3. For some reason, customers think you make the prices.
4. You have to keep your ‘happy face’ on no matter what.
5. The customer is not always right…in fact, they’re almost always wrong.
6. People get dumber and dumber every day.
7. People think it’s okay to come in at 8:58 even if you close at 9 p.m.
8. People assume you know the answer to everything.
9. “It’s not scanning…that means it’s free, right?”
10. Your coworkers are the best part of your day.
