I have learned over the course of three years at college that although it is liberating to get away at first, I always rejoice when I know my mom is coming to visit me at school. We really learn to appreciate that our mom's buy our groceries, make delicious meals, and take us out to Nordstrom for our favorite lunch time treat.
So when your mom comes to visit, these events probably occur without a doubt.
1. She wants to come into your room, and you realize you did not have any time to clean it so you do a quick throw everything in the closet to make it look good because you don't want to disappoint your mom.
2. You don't go grocery shopping all week because you know your mom will take you for a Target run.
3. She takes you out to eat at your favorite restaurant.
4. She takes you to go get ice cream at your favorite ice cream place.
5. She brings you an endless supply of whatever you need and whatever she thinks will help even if it's glass cleaner, nail clippers, or homemade pasta sauce. And you feel great.
6. She takes you to get your nails done and your self esteem boosts immediately.
7. She takes you shopping at the best mall around because she loves to spoil you while she can.
8. She doesn't leave without giving you a full tank of gas.
9. She slips you a twenty when she is getting ready to leave and says to treat yourself.
10. On her departure, she gives you the best hug and makes you realize how much you love her. Don't leave.
