Everyone dreads their midterm exams. Somehow it seems like professors get together behind your back just to coordinate all of your exams in the same week just to make you suffer a little more. It’s the week where you are halfway there but know that you have a whole other mountain to climb (in most cases you do).
But overall, everyone gets those midterm vibes; we hate it because we are only halfway done and we love it because we are halfway done. We will make it through--somehow. Here are the ten biggest things that happen during midterms week:
10. When you have three exams on the same day so you have to figure out which one you’re taking the L on.
Everyone has had that one day where their professors have coordinated behind your back to make you suffer like no other. And most of the time, this is where all of the tests are somehow worth half of your grade in the class.
9. When you have to debate between the line in Starbucks or precious study time.
Somehow, the time that you need coffee most conveniently is the same time the rest of the world decides to get Starbucks.
8. Pulling three all-nighters in a row.
Makes you question if it’s really worth it.
7. Questioning your major and what you're doing with your life in general.
6. When ten questions on the test are from the one day you missed class.
5. When you avoid your obligations by planning your life five months in advanced or just online shopping.
4. When the library looks like Recess on a Tuesday.
3. Those teachers that ask you about things they never taught you in class and somehow they don’t curve.
2. Wasting your time complaining about how hard the test is going to be rather than actually studying for it.
1. Finishing the test early because you had no idea what was even on it.
Was it even in English?
