You know how Justin Bieber sings “Sorry” and that one line “is it too late now to say sorry?” is repeated a million times? Well, that is what life with my roommate and I is like.

We say sorry for everything... all the time.

It’s kind of like the period at the end of a sentence for us. The problem is that we never really noticed how much we actually say “sorry” and how unnecessary those apologies are until we started keeping tallies of it. We said we would make a “sorry jar” and put money in it every time we apologized for something pointless-- but quickly realized that we would be broke by the end of only one day.

The point here is to stop apologizing for every little thing.

Here are 10 things you should never apologize for:

1. Talking about how you feel

You can't help how you feel and no one should judge you for how you feel, so stop being sorry.

2. Being yourself

You're cool because you're you. Don't apologize for that

3. Things that aren't even your fault or a problem

Sorry I walked into a door? What? That's the silliest thing to apologize for, ever.

4. Asking for help

Asking for help is necessary sometimes so why say sorry when you can say thank you?

5. Saying “no”

Just because you don't want to do something that someone else wants doesn't mean you should be sorry.

6. When someone else bumps into you

Hello?? That "sorry" is on them.

7. Calling your family on the phone

Being on your phone to talk to your family is not grounds for an apology.

8. Not agreeing with someone

Not everyone will always see eye to eye but that doesn't mean you should apologize for your beliefs.

9. Not being able to hear someone

They should talk louder... it's their problem, not yours.

10. Putting yourself first

You don't owe people anything so don't be sorry for doing your own thing.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
