10 Things I'd Rather Do Than Party On A Friday Night

I'm not a boring person, I swear.

My life is by no means exciting compared to the average college student. Yet that is just the way I like it. No parties, no problems is what I live by. By staying in I avoid all the crowds, drama, alcohol, and any other undesirable side affects of going out on a Friday night. To those of you who do, good for you, I hope you have fun and are being safe. However, this is a list of what I'd rather do on a Friday night than be one of those partiers.

1. Read

To those of you who know me, this is an obvious one. To those of you who don't, I like reading. So much so, that I'd rather sit at home with a good book than go out and party.

2. Watch A Movie

Movies are great. They are fun and entertaining. Especially the Star Wars movies. So why not sit at home and binge watch them all?

3. Go Out To Eat

Food is good. Olive Garden has great bread sticks. Why not get a group of friends, split the bill, and head on out to eat some quality Italian food? I definitely prefer fun and sober conversation any day of the week.

4. Bake

Baking (or cooking) is fun and relaxing. You'd be amazed as to what kind of trouble my friends and I can get into with some flour and chocolate chips.

5. Do Homework

This is a crazy one I know, but there is no better feeling than waking up on a Saturday morning and realizing you have absolutely no work to do. It is quite the blissful feeling.

6. Color

This is relaxing and fun and you can do it while watching Netflix. I always have a sense of pride when I finish a coloring page. It takes skill, okay?

7. Do A Bible Study

The Bible is powerful. It also helps me destress after a tough week. It's nice to sit back, relax, and see what God has to say.

8. Call My Parents

9. Clean

I am a very organized person and uncleanliness is my worst enemy. I like things clean and in order and Friday nights are the best nights to clean up the weeks messes (in more ways than one).

10. Refer Back to #1

Okay, so I REALLY like to read.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
