When I was 4 years old, I arrived with my family in the city of Houston, Texas. I immediately fell in love with the aquarium, the zoo, and pretty much everything else that might catch a four-year-old's eye. As I grew up, I started discovering new things such as discovering that Frank's Pizza really is the best around, the terror of accidentally turning onto a one-way street, and my first time living on my own at the University of Houston.
It breaks my heart to see my city and my school suffer the way they are suffering now. I have never seen this type of devastation in my life. So many people have lost their homes, their businesses, and even their lives. In the wake of all the destruction we have seen, people have come out in droves ready to help in any way they can. The people of Texas have a spirit that even the worst storm in U.S. history can not break. Here are some pictures from our strong state.
