Whenever people ask for a fun fact, my go-to is that I am a black belt in karate. Many people are shocked to hear that a girl who is only 5'3" is a black belt in karate- but yes, I am a black belt and no I am not making it up.
So, I've written down a typical conversation of what people say to me whenever they find out that I am a black belt.
1. "YOU'RE A BLACK BELT?"
Yes, I am a black belt.
2. "So you could probably kick my ass."
To be honest, probably not. Considering you are much bigger than me, odds are you'd be the one to kick my ass.
3. "Well I'm never gonna piss you off."
How about you don't piss people off in general regardless of if they have a black belt or not?
4. "Can you flip me?"
No, I will not and can not flip you.
5. "OMG! Show me some moves!"
I'm honestly not comfortable doing karate moves outside of karate.
6. "Think fast!" *Punches towards your face*
Yes I will probably block your punch, but it is out of reflex not because I am a black belt.
7. "So you can break like three bricks, right?"
Nope, sorry.
8. "Do you like Karate Kid"?
I've only seen the new version of Karate Kid with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan and to be honest, I didn't really like it.
9. Punch my stomach!!! I wanna see how hard you punch!
No. I will not punch your stomach, kick your stomach, or do anything to hurt you.
10. "We should fight!"
HAHAHA no.
