10 Things At UNH To Look Forward To

As the end of another winter break approaches, a new semester awaits. Time to get back to classes, dining hall food, late nights at the library, and sharing a bathroom with multiple other people. Ah, what lovely things to look forward to. However, with this comes all the fun parts of being back to school, so here are 10 things at UNH to look forward to going back to.

#10. Quesadilla, chicken scampi, stir fry, grilled cheese, and what not bars. C'mon, I know you wildcats LOVE these bars as much as I do. What sometimes seems almost like endless amounts of toppings to put on top, and garlic bread and tomato bisque for the side. As much as we love mom's or dad's cooking, I know I can't wait to go back for chicken scampi bar on Wednesdays.

#9. Your independence. Back at school, you're free from mom's nagging to do your laundry, or your dads pushing to get a job over winter break. We can eat whenever we want, stay out however long, do whatever, and be whatever. We are in control of ourselves again, and get to feel like real adults. Even though being taken care of is nice every once in a while, we need to live our own lives again.

#8. Dunkin Donuts and other cafes at the tips of our fingers. Even though it can burn your debit card, cats cache, and dining dollars out a little bit... COFFEE! I miss getting my flavor shot with red bull and a plain bagel with two cream cheeses at Zeke's. It's so nice whether you're hungover from a wild night, in desperate need of a pick me up before a cram session, or just feel like treating yourself, it'll be nice to be back with all that wonderful sugary goodness.

#7. Late night or Wild Kitty. Whether you missed your dinner because you had a lab or late lecture, or just ate too early, or just wanted again, to treat your damn self, Philly late night and Wild Kitty have your back. Time to get back to the late night adventures with your friends and very often used sentence "Do you wanna go to Wild Kitty with me?" and the very obvious answer "Duh, yeah I do!"

#6. Mozzarella sticks. "Mozzies" are something I so cannot wait to get back to. Even though this relates to #7, we all know mozzarella sticks deserve their own number. Mozzarella sticks after a long night of partying, a late night of studying, or you just wanted those crispy little suckers, it'll be wonderful to get back to those cheesy little sticks. Sidenote did anybody else notice they had mozzarella sticks at hoco the last week before exams?

#5. Roommates! Whether you have roommates or not, it'll be nice to get back to the people around you! Get back to the late night chats with your roomies, Netflixing, coffee dates, and taking lit pictures with. It'll be nice to be back to live with the people who know you at your best and know you at your worst.

#4. Sporting events. Getting back to seeing your pals and heading to the sports events with them is always fun. Even though football is my program and that's over until next fall, it'll be nice to be back out and supporting your fellow wildcats in the rest of their seasons! Of course as well, looking forward to the lovely chants we have to tear down the other teams.

#3. Cinco is getting that much closer... enough said.

#2. Going out with your friends, dancing, and getting into whatever trouble we can on the weekends. Now if you don't go out, going out with friends to the Mub movies, hanging out at the mall, or exploring Portsmouth, is just as much fun and things to look forward to. For the rest of you, looking forward to forgetting the stress of the week, the annoying people in our lives, the stupid papers due on Monday, it'll be wonderful to be back heading out with your friends and going out! Ah, what a time to be alive.

#1. Being with all your wonderful friends. Being back out with the squad and your number ones are the best things to look forward to. I look forward to seeing all my goofball friends and making more memories to last a lifetime. To be back with the people have got your back no matter what. When the exam grade gets you down, another Tinder date went wrong, or when you threw up the night before and they had to take care of you, they have your back and are there to cheer you up.

So, whether you're dreading going back to school, or are counting down the days like I am, here are 10 things to look forward to going back to UNH!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
