This past weekend my sister graduated from The Ohio State University. This weekend was a roller-coaster of emotions not only for my parents, but also for me.
1. Trying to find her when she processes in.
It took them all 45 minutes just for all 11,000 graduates to walk in. Trying to find her was the biggest pain of the day.
2. The weather is brutal
It's either 100 degrees or freezing on graduation day. For her day, it was freezing and of course, we had to sit way in the back in the shade.
3. Cheering
Although there were 11,000 people and they didn't even announce my sister's name, we still cheered as loud as they could when they said anything about her college of nursing.
4. Sadness
As the ceremony goes on I start to realize how old she is. She's about to be an adult and have a big girl job. Super scary if you think about it.
5. So. Many. Speeches
Just when one speech ends, another one starts. Each one is at least 15 minutes and you contemplate taking a nap each time.6. Concession stand break!
I made 4 trips to the concession stand during the ceremony. Ended up getting 3 hot dogs, nachos, and two water bottles. No ragrets.
7. Processing out
Yay wow, 3 hours finally has gone by! Wait is that her walking out? YES, IT IS WOO GO GRADUATE I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!
8. Pictures, pictures and more pictures!
Now for the fun part! Taking so many photos that your mouth feels like its going to fall off!
9. Realizing this is going to be me in a few years.
Although I just finished my freshman year of college, I realized how quickly these next three years are going to fly by. I get more worried as I realize I'm one more day closer to graduation.
10. Not wanting my sister to leave me
Once she starts her job and officially becomes an ~adult~ I won't see her as much. Please don't leave me I'm not ready.
