Holiday season is upon us, which means lots of cookies, family and presents. Unfortunately, buying gifts for everyone on your list can be a little daunting.
First step is denial:
It's only December 20th, that leaves me five days before I actually need to have anything done, right?
Then the panic hits:
Okay, maybe five days isn't enough time to shop for all 37 of my friends and family.
You realize you have to go to the mall and you can't help the disgust you feel just thinking about it:
*cringe*
You make it to the parking lot and see that every space in the entire lot is taken:
It'll take at least an hour to find a spot.
Then you see it, one open spot in the furthest corner of the lot and it's better than Christmas morning:
Finally! You can stop circling around the parking lot.
Walking into the mall is the next worse thing to happen to you:
Why did everyone in the whole east coast pick this mall to shop at today??
You try to maneuver through the crowd in hopes to get to the one store you came here for:
This Macy's coupon is NOT worth the amount of people I have to elbow to get there.
You finally find something you can buy for your loved one and someone swoops in and snatches the last one:
A little piece of you dies inside.
You start to contemplate how much your family actually means to you and if they really needs presents this year:
My love should be enough.
And then, magical moment you've been waiting for, you cross off the last name on your list and get to head home after a successful and AWFUL day of shopping:
My family better appreciate the effort it took to get these presents.
