Just as we finally enter autumn, we also fall into flu season. Yes, it's here. You could attempt to avoid the flu with the annual flu shot. However, if you're anything like me, you'll still manage to get the flu even if you got the shot. You've accepted that it's inevitable. You know that when flu season approaches it's time to get your cold medicine and tissues ready!
Starting to already feel under the weather? Here are 10 signs that you've entered flu season:
1. You have chills...
Yes, they're multiplying. My body may indeed be losing control.
2. ...now you have a fever.
No, not the "Saturday Night Fever," just a fever. Either that or I'm going through the early stages of menopause. Somebody draw a bath and fast.
3. Aches
Even when you breathe, something aches. You don't know how you got the aches, but all you know is that you want the aches to stop and stop right now.
4. Nausea
Something inside of you is brewing and not agreeing with your system. You feel like your stomach flipped upside down and all around. Man or woman overboard.
5. Throwing up
You are now bowing down to the toilet. No one wants to come in physical contact with you so everyone is at a brooms length from you.
6. Sore throat
Your throat is as scratchy as that sweater you have on to stay warm. It also probably hurts from the perpetual puking you were doing moments ago.
7. No voice
The germ gods have been summoned and have stolen your voice. Thus, making you incapable of normal sounds. Yes, you may sound like a dying walrus.
8. Congestion
On the outside, everything may appear all glorious. On the inside, your body is being consumed with congestion.
9. Your nose runs more than you do.
The trumpet sound of you blowing your nose can alert others that you are near and that they should stay clear.
10. You have an endless stream of tears.
You just want to feel better and can't help but cry because you're sick.
