ATTENTION ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS:
We made it.
While getting through that fall semester seemed nearly impossible for us, we did it. The six weeks of break we are now able to enjoy are here. Every college student can appreciate the luxuries they are given during this time that simply cannot be offered during the school year. It is safe to say that a majority of students show several signs that make it known they are on winter break, such as:
1. Sleeping in everyday.
Sleeping in until noon everyday has never seemed so precious. While this isn't something that is plausible during school, every student deserves to have a week, or six, where they can sleep in guilt-free.
2. Binge watching Netflix until 5 A.M.:
There is nothing wrong with forcing yourself to stay awake to watch your favorite show that you have been watching since you woke up from way earlier that day. You know you have nothing going on in the morning anyways.
3. Not talking about school because it stresses you out.
Nope. Just don't talk about it. Not now, not today, not ever.
4. Not knowing what to do with yourself.
If you find yourself waking up every morning for six weeks not knowing what you are going to be doing for the day, you may be a college student.
5. Crying at the thought of school starting again for the spring semester.
Again...just please, don't talk about it. Not now, not today, not ever. Maybe it will just go away if we ignore it.
6. Having enough time to actually be social.
It is an AMAZING feeling when you get invited to go out with your friends, and you do not have to turn it down to finish the paper that should've been done weeks beforehand.
7. Answering all of your family's questions in one sitting.
How a majority of college students' families look at Christmas dinner when they were not prepared for the answers you had for their questioning spree.
8. Feeling sad at the thought of having to wake up at 7 A.M. once again for classes.
Oh, look. A picture from the future of all of us trying to get up in time for our 8 A.M. class this upcoming semester.
9. Constantly talking to your friends from school.
While the thought of going back to school might stress you out, at least you'll be able to reunite with your friends that you so desperately missed!
10. You have lost track of the date for six weeks.
Everyday just becomes a blur, or a mystery as to what the exact date is. Is it January 6th? Or December 27th? Do NOT rely on a college student to give you that answer. Their answer will most likely be at least two weeks off.
