10 Signs You're An Overly Obsessed Dog Lover

Whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend obviously didn't own a dog.

In my opinion, a house is not a home without four paws, a tail and occasional barking. If everyone was as happy to see me as my dogs are, I'd probably be one of the happiest people on earth. At the end of the day, if you truly believe that dogs are God's gift to humanity, and if you can identify with more than half of these points, you may just be a perpetual dog lover.

*Spoiler* You're not alone.

1. You get more excited to see your dogs than other members of your family.

The fam is always great, but has your dog ever yelled at you or cast you the judgmental eye?

2. You know all of your friend's dogs and love them as if they were yours.

3. You won't even consider marrying someone who doesn't appreciate canine companionship.

If I can't own a dog with you, well then.. *shows the door.*

4. Watching a movie in which a dog dies is too much for you to handle and absolutely out of the question.

"Marley and Me" was an emotional roller coaster from start to finish.

5. If you had the enough money to adopt every shelter dog in your city, you would do it in a heartbeat.

6. You have to resist the urge to pet every dog you see in public (even service and police dogs, ugh).

Turns out every dog on the street doesn't need to be profusely petted and coddled. A girl can dream.

7. You find yourself missing your ex's dog more than your ex.

Sorry your dog was cuter and more loyal than you were!

8. You're that one person at parties who can be found obsessing/playing with the dog unabashedly.

9. You FaceTime your dog when you're away (don't judge).

We like to pretend they understand what's going on.

10. You talk to them and apologize profusely if you accidentally hurt them.

You see the world flash before your eyes when you tragically step on or accidentally hurt your pet. Then you fight the urge to sob and hold them in your arms to convince them of your love as they struggle to break free.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
