Every year, people go on the hunt at the NYE party for who they will kiss when the clock strikes 12. Usually, you end up kissing the wrong person, or maybe no-one at all. Sometimes you can't even remember if you kissed someone. It happens, it's New Years Eve.

1. He/She was your NYE kiss last year: new year, new kiss!

2. He/She is passed out at the party: you might as well give up at this point and kiss your champagne bottle.

3. He/She is flirting with you best friend: time to move on and hunt for a new possible smooch.

4. In a relationship: Don't be so determined to get a kiss that you become a home-wrecker.

5. He/She is clearly avoiding you: stop being creepy and once again, kiss the champagne.

6. They didn't answer any of your previous snapchats before the party: No matter how hot you look, if they didn't answer your "mass snapchat", you are 100% not getting that kiss.

7. If he/she keeps talking about their ex: If someone is still talking about their ex, they are still clearly into the ex.

8. He/she is being sloppy: You don't want your first kiss of the new year to be the same person as half of the people there.

9. Your friends told you not to: your friends' judgment might be better than your own on NYE

10. He/she is more into the tequila than into you: I mean, who isn't?

Worse comes to worse, you can always try again next year. Kiss your champagne bottle and start the new year off right. New year, same single gal.
