Sometimes, it's difficult to tell whether the person you're with is the person you're gonna be with forever. Here are ten things that could be huge indicators of whether you're with your "forever" person.
1. You're completely comfortable with them
The first way to know if you're in a solid relationship is the level of comfort between the two of you. If you can't be completely comfortable around them, there's no point in being with them.
2. There's no petty and unnecessary drama
Unhealthy relationships filled with jealousy and stupid drama have been normalized recently, and these relationships are not necessarily ones that are going to last forever. In a completely healthy and strong relationship, you don't tend to worry about silly things or have to deal with either person being possessive or petty.
3. You can easily see your future with them (and talk about it!)
You should be able to envision a future with that person, and you definitely should be able to talk to them about it. If neither of you are willing to talk about your future, you might not be ready to have one.
4. You laugh and have fun together
Not everything about a relationship needs to be serious. If you're able to laugh, have fun, and be goofy together, you're probably in a pretty great relationship.
5. You're able to spend time apart
It's good to want to spend time together, but if you can't stand to be apart from your significant other so each of you can do your own thing, your relationship might be a little unhealthy.
6. You argue at least a little bit
While you shouldn't be fighting every day, disagreements can be healthy and productive. If you don't disagree with your partner about anything, you're probably holding back and not being honest. And when you do disagree, you should be able to openly talk about it.
7. Both of you can openly talk about your feelings
Your relationship should be a judgement-free zone where both of you feel comfortable enough to be honest about your feelings and have open discussions about them.
8. There's no animosity or lingering anger between you
There shouldn't be any anger between the two of you that hasn't already been worked out. If you have lingering anger or animosity, you can't be completely happy and the feelings will probably worsen over time and eventually come out. The results of this probably won't be pretty.
9. You make each other better people
The person you are with your significant other should be your best self. If they bring out the best parts of you, they're probably someone you want to hold on to.
10. You have shared interests
You have to have things to do and things to talk about. Shared interests--even if you develop these interest together--are the key to a strong, happy relationship.
