Equestrians, also known as the horse crazed people in the class, are recognizable from a mile away. They have a certain way about them as well as certain identifiable characteristics. So, without further ado, here are 10 signs you're an Equestrian.

1. Doing Your Hair Means Tucking It Under A Baseball Cap

It's the only hairstyle proven to hide helmet hair.

2. You Think Clucking At Your Car Will Make It Go Faster

It works for the horse, why not the car, too?

3. You Are Even Worse At Walking In Heels Than Most Other Girls

You basically live in your riding boots, converse or Toms, and, to be honest, you're probably lucky if you own more than one pair of heels. Bonus points if you can walk in them without tripping.

4. Your Idea Of Decorating Your Room Is Hanging Up Horse Show Ribbons

Because nothing adds class to a room like, "Yeah, those are my championship ribbons from Devon and WIHS."

5. When You Mess Up In The Show Ring, And You Already Know What Your Trainer Is Going To Say

Most exchanges go something like, "Why did you cut your turn?", "I don't know." "If you don't know, why are you doing it?"

6. You Never Have Money To Go Out Because You Spend It All At The Tack Shop

At this point, it's safe to say that your horse has a nicer wardrobe than you do.

7. In The Summer Time, Your Perfume Is Fly Spray, Featuring Citronella.

Nothing says "I came from the barn" like the smell of fly spray.

8. Your Go-To Outfit Consists Of A T-Shirt And Jeans

Remember how you only own one pair of heels? Well, you have the opposite problem with t-shirts, some may say you own too many.

9. Plaid Shirts Are Everything

Plaid shirts are the perfect solution to every situation! You can't go wrong!

10. You Have Become Immune To The Looks You Get When You Wear Your Breeches Out In Public

I don't understand how celebrities wear them, and it's considered a fashion trend. But, real Equestrians wear them, and it's considered weird.

Equestrians are a pretty cool group of people, and, maybe they stand out in a crowd a little bit. But, it's for all the right reasons!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
