August marks the end of the summer, and the beginning of a new school year. As soon as the back to school commercials came on, I would be the first to volunteer to run errands with my mom. The good supplies went fast, so the earlier you bought your mechanical pencils the better. Target marked off an entire section in the store just for school supplies. While your school suggested you needed 12 crayons, you knew you couldn't arrive to school without at least 36. Going back to school in college means getting maybe two notebooks, and bringing your laptop to class. I hate to admit it, but I wouldn't turn down Lisa Frank spirals and folders. Here's a list of ten school supplies you secretly still want in your backpack.
1. Lisa Frank folders. Okay, Lisa Frank everything.
2. Rolling backpacks. They were never allowed at my school, and I'm still bitter.
3. Gel pens. The only way to take notes.
4. Smelly markers.
5. Pencil cases that fit anything you could possibly need.
6. Pattern edged scissors. They could never cut any paper, but I always loved the idea of them.
7. The 96-pack of Crayola crayons was the best of the best. The RoseArt 8 pack was the absolute worst.
8. Eraser tops. Because you could never trust the erasers on #2 pencils.
9. Pencil grips. To survive the endless amount of cursive writing.
10. The dreaded walk to the front of the room to sharpen your pencil could easily be avoided with one of these.
