The library is, in my opinion, the best place to study. I find it difficult to get my work done anywhere else, especially when I have copious amounts of it.

The library provides a quiet, comfortable place to focus and be productive. Not to mention, there’s a Starbucks conveniently on the ground floor. I love the library and the fact that I spend 90% of my time there speaks to my love, however, I think I’m beginning to spend a little too much time there and if you can relate to any of the following you may be too.

Here are 10 things to tell you that you’re spending too much time in the library.

1. You have a favorite floor.

Addlestone Library has three floors. The first floor allows talking, the second and third floors are supposed to be no talking but most people whisper on the second floor and are silent on the third. I like the second floor so I don’t get dirty looks for asking if I can borrow my friend’s charger.

2. You have a favorite spot to sit on your favorite floor.

There are options on options as far as where to sit in the library. Personal cubbies, comfy chair, tables with and without rolling chairs, it’s only natural that you should have preferences. I personally like to sit at a table without rolling chairs by the bathrooms. I don’t like having to walk through the entire room every time I have to tinkle.

3. You have a favorite seat, in your favorite spot, on your favorite floor.

Most of the tables have four seats, two on each side that face each other. I like to sit on the side that faces outward and on the left side since I’m left-handed. Is it weird to have so many seat preferences?

4. You have a favorite bathroom stall.

Alright, this one is probably just me but, I’m weird about going to the bathroom and I require a certain amount of privacy. Therefore I have a preference to use the stall right before the handicapped stall because it’s a little bigger and it’s right at the end of the stall line.

5. The people in Starbucks know your name/order.

I know I’m in Starbucks too much. I’ve given them so much of my money since school started I might as well invest in the company but, I am a creature of habit and coffee and studying always go together for me. Starbucks is so convenient and I get the same thing every time. No wonder they know me.

6. You know the layout of the library like the back of your hand.

I never have any problem finding my friends if they get to the library before me since I spend so much time there and have become well-acquainted with every area.

7. You know when the security guards change shifts.

When you spend too much time in the library you start to notice the routines that go on around you. You spend too much time in the library if you know when the morning security changes to the afternoon and the afternoon to the evening. Not creepy, just observant.

8. If you know the busiest hours by heart.

You probably spend too much time in the library if you know the exact hours that the library is busy and the busy times' variations from day to day.

9. If you know exactly how much time it takes to get to and from the library from anywhere on campus.

If you know the exact amount of time it takes you to get to the library, no matter where you’re coming from, you probably go there way too much. Not a bad thing though, at least you always know the most efficient route.

10. You find that time flies in the library.

You probably spend too much time in the library if you enter the library during daylight and find that it’s suddenly night time when you leave.

Alright, so maybe you do spend too much time in the library, but is that really a bad thing? Let me know when final grades come out.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
