1. We're still in college/just getting our job started.
Some people felt the call right away, took college classes in high school, and are already accredited. That does not have to be you.
2. Just think of all the nights you'd be missing out on.
Think of the drunken bar nights. Almost better to be a bridesmaid than a bride.
3. Are we really qualified to raise children yet?
I don't know how to change a diaper, and I greatly value my sleep.
4. We might not have even met "The One."
You might be J. Lo or some other sort of cradle robber. Look on the bright side.
5. Most college students change their major let alone their outlook on the future.
Three years ago I thought I wanted to be a publisher or lawyer, then I thought about being a diagnostician, and now I'm going to be an English teacher? I'm not sure where my life is going.
6. We still have places to be and people to see.
I want to visit different areas of the world without a diaper bag in the minivan.
7. Worrying about hypothetical future events will drive you crazy.
What color will your 12 best friends/close family be wearing when they stand next to you on your special day that's probably four years from now? What will you name your first son? You should think about those things with a significant other when the time comes.
8. If life throws you some major curveballs, you still have your people to rely on.
Your girls will be behind you no matter what, and whether you have a killer interview coming up or you're celebrating everyone being together, right now is the time where they are up for anything. In a few years, there will be more scheduling involved if you want to take a trip to your favorite local bar.
9. Rest assured that the next 10 years will be the best so far.
You'll laugh, cry, make best friends, find that person that makes you happy, get that degree/start work in whatever you have a passion for and just live.
10. Now you can just enjoy the moment.
Just breathe and know that everything will work out the way it's supposed to when it's supposed to.
