Anderson University is one of my most favorite places on this earth. As a stressed out college student, going to a college that feels like home makes the stress more bearable. The education provided at Anderson is top-notch. Graduating will be bittersweet, because I will not want to leave the fun of college, but I will be happy about not doing schoolwork 24/7 and proud of my degree from this amazing school. Here are 10 reasons why Anderson is the best school:
1. The presence of Christ is undeniable.
It is so evident that the people here love Jesus and others. This place radiates Christ's love and that is such a good feeling.
2. The campus is beautiful.
The buildings are pretty on the inside and out.The front lawn itself is stunning, I could sit out there for hours (when it's not 20 degrees). The fact that there are places to Eno all around is also pretty awesome.
3. The biblical humor in classes.
I'm sure that Jesus gets some good laughs out of this, too.
4. The professors.
Every professor I have had so far at Anderson has been super nice and understanding, as well as rooted in Christ. You can really tell that they care about us students and they want to see us do well. Most of them are more than willing to work with you after class if needed. When a professor does a devotion at the beginning of class or prays for the class before they take a test, it just makes the class so much better. I love that they set good examples for us.
5. The community of people.
The students, staff, professors; they all make this home away from home really feel like home and are so good at loving each other.
6. The intentionality of the school.
Anderson makes a point to be involved in students' lives and make sure they are doing well. Most schools don't do this.
7. The fun events.
My personal favorite was the Hootenanny. The fall festival and many other fun events make our weeks full of school work so much better. Also, thanks for the cookies Mrs. Whitaker, you rock.
8. Campus worship.
Wednesday's are my favorite days of the week. I love getting to come together with my friends and classmates to worship. The speakers are always awesome too.
9. Scott Taylor's emails.
He is SO NICE. Mr. Taylor sends us emails about our mail and always includes kind words that brighten my day.
10. The small size of campus so that I don't have to walk forever to class.
I don't know what I would do if my classes were more than a five minute walk away considering I get up 15 minutes before class starts.
