10 Reasons Why Football Is A Gift From God

Football is a wonderful thing. It may not be huge around the world, like the "other" football, but it serves its purpose in the United States. Here are some reasons why football, particularly for a college student, is absolutely amazing.

1. It gives some college students, over the age of 21 of course, reasons to get belligerently drunk and scream at literally anything.

2. It gives nostalgic old alumni reasons to try and fit in with us hip youngsters

3. It breaks up the absolutely dreadful baseball season. Sadly, this happens when baseball actually gets good, but football is still the real MVP

4. Not only is it exhilarating to watch people run full speed at each other, for free I might add, but it is also a great way to show that our school is better than yours. A giant fuck you to the opponent.

5. Got anger? Go to the game, scream at some officials. Literally better than therapy.

6. The infamous TV show "Blue Mountain State" has given football games a certain aura. Basically, restating point #1. But also mentioning the greatest non-Office comedic TV show on Netflix. Perfectly worth it.

7. When referring to the NFL, football gives everyone a professional league that is actually worth watching since basketball ended (sorry baseball).

8. We get to watch Kirk Herbstreit talk like he knows college football and Lee Corso incoherently ramble on.

9. The signs on College Gameday are all worth it

10. Last but not least, it gives something entertaining until College Basketball <3 ... did I already mention that?

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
