I found in college what I have been wanting out of school for forever, more time. A laid back environment and being able to do my own thing sets me up for successful semesters! Over the course of my first year of college and shortly going into my second, I've realized that these are the realities for why I'm excited for the fall semester to begin.
1. Schedule classes on your time. Choosing when I can wake up and go to class is so convenient when mornings are not my friend.
2. I'm learning what interests me. I mean that's like signing up to be given an A.
3. Online class options. Class in your pj's in the comfort of your own home is an absolute winner.
4. Professors take mental health days too. "We will not be having class Thursday because I just need a break."
5. Dress code? Nonexistent. I can show my shoulders now because obviously, the summer between high school graduation and the first day of college made all men grow up to realize shoulders aren't sexy.. #highschoolwasplayinggames
6. Classes only on Tuesday and Thursday. Wait no Monday blues and Friday's are free?? Wow, heaven on earth really does exists.
7. Food options. Food is life and college offers the good options.
8. It taught me to be self-disciplined and more organized. Can't go wrong with having a planner. There is no such thing as too many to-do lists!
9. Free time. With class only a couple days a week, it's so much easier to have a social life and time for a job.
10. Motivation. When you realize how much it cost, you'll see why motivation to understand the material heightens.
College, you've been good to me this past year. Excited for the next few to come!
