10 Reasons My Big Rocks
Diana Dodd

There are many reasons that my big rocks, but I figured writing them out makes it clear on how much I love and appreciate her. Here are some of the reasons that my big is the best big in the world.

1. She's always there.

Whether it be 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., she's only a text or call (or 5-minute drive) away.

2. She listens without judging.

I know I can tell my big anything and everything. She always has some sort of positive feedback and uplifting words to say. She never judges me and is always there to help with whatever I need and I couldn't be more thankful for that.

3. I can be myself around her.

Even though we haven't even known each other for that long, we are complete weirdos together. And she's just as weird as I am, that's the best part.

4. She's a perfect representation of the women I want to be.

She's super hardworking and dedicated to everything she puts her mind to. This helps to inspire me to be just like her and I look up to her so much for this.

5. She's my mom away from home.

When I'm upset or sick she's the first person at my door step offering cookie dough or shoving medicine in my face to take. She takes care of me like I'm her own child.

6. She's selfless.

She's always willing to drop what she's doing for me. She puts everyone before herself and is the most giving person I know.

7. She supports everything I do.

Even when she doesn't always agree, she's always standing by my side to support my decisions.

8. She's a built in road trip partner.

If I ever need someone to do anything or go anywhere with me, she's always down for the trip.

9. She is always there to make me laugh.

On my worst days, I know that she's the person to go to that will make me cheer up and laugh at some cheesy joke.

10. She's the coolest big ever.

Speaks for itself.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
