10 reasons leaving college for the summer feels wrong

1. Not waking up to your friends knocking on your dorm door every morning

Because i mean who doesn't love to wake up to the sound of your name being scream along with "its time to eat" ?

2.No more caf food?

Wait you might actually like whats for dinner?

3.Not walking the same roads everyday.

Admit it, you're going to miss walking that 20 minute walk to class just a little bit.

4.Missing the bad on-campus coffee.

Heading to a local coffee shop and remembering coffee isn't sour most the time and grounds in the coffee isn't normal.

5.Remembering that at home, shower water can be warm.

Mmmm a comfortable shower temperature.

6.Leaving your friends who you basically live with.

But who's closet will you live out of for the next couple months back home?

7.Having to put making memories on hold and not being too happy about it.

But mom you don't understand, I have to go back to see my friends for the summer!!

8. Wearing your school's merch everyday might be weird now.

"Are you really wearing that out again sweetie? - Mom

*is wearing your school colors head to toe*

9.Maybe missing those community bathrooms, just a little?

Because when you got food poisoning that one time and were throwing up, it's always nice to not be alone :)

10.Knowing you picked a school just so wonderful, that going to class everyday maybe seems just a bit more fun than being home for the summer?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
