One of the first lessons that college taught me is that living with roommates definitely is not easy, especially when sharing space with eight other people.

1. The kitchen looks like a crime scene from a mass murder.

How did the spaghetti sauce manage to get on every surface in the kitchen, including the ceiling?

2. Whether you like it or not, your roommates know everything about your life.

3. Shared spaces like the refrigerator get a little out of hand.

4.You’ll bump into your roommate in public and realize they are wearing your clothing.

5. They’ve seen you at your worst, and they've seen all of your breaking points.

6. And they have been there to comfort you.

7. You've stayed up all night long on multiple occasions with them throughout the semester.

8. Their attempts at rationalizing their intoxicated state becomes all too familiar.

9. Violently protecting your food becomes the norm.

10. Although at times they drive you crazy, you wouldn't have it any other way.
