I'll be the first to admit that I'm one of those people who end up hating very popular things. Sorry, but I'm just not one for shows with very annoying fandoms who claim you have to be smart to understand it (I'm looking at you, Rick and Morty fans). Anyway, here are 10 random things I think are over-rated.

Warning: You may get offended.

1. Cheesecake.

I'm not explaining myself on this one.

2. Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

All they do is get your fingers messy and sticky, and spicy isn't really my thing.

3. Rick and Morty

It's not that it's a bad show, it's just WAY over hyped to the point that I just find it extremely annoying.

4. Pineapple on Pizza.

This is a true sin. Pineapple is my favorite fruit and I love pizza, but pineapple should NOT be hot, nor should be combined with cheese and tomato sauce. Enough said.

5. PewDiePie.

For those of you who don't know, PewDiePie is a Youtuber who uploads videos of himself playing video games. He is way too obnoxious for my taste, and honestly, it seems like his obnoxiousness is forced. He tries way too hard to be funny and that's not appealing to me. Yet somehow he has the most Youtube subscribers? What is the appeal?

6. Candy Corn.

I can stand candy corn to some extent, but I can't overdo it. I can only eat like 3 or 4 at a time if that. All it is is sugar! Gross.

7. Pumpkin Spice.

I enjoy pumpkin flavored things, but I beg you to let me enjoy pumpkin without the spice! Side note: peppermint mocga is the superior race.

8. The Walking Dead.

I tried to get into it, I really did. But zombies scare me, and I couldn't get past the first episode. Oops. Like seriously, how is this not scary?!

9. Horror Movies.

I absolutely hate horror/scary movies. When I watch one, I WILL NOT sleep that night. I'm not exaggerating.

10. "Bodak Yellow" by Cardi B.

Scold me all you want for this one, but when the song first came out I did not understand why everyone was so obsessed with it. I thought the song was annoying and I didn't get the appeal of it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
