10 Quotes to Get You Motivated

Sometimes we need a little motivation in our lives and who doesn't love a good quote. So here are my top 10 quotes to get me ready to conquer the world.

We all want to be champions of our lives but procrastination can and will prepare you for failure. We always associate procrastinating with school but it is so much more. It's waiting too long to tell someone you love them, or not starting to save for your retirement, or failing to put in the work now and expecting results later.

This just speaks to me on so many levels because we have created a culture of helplessness and it disgusts me. If you have an issue with the way things are going, do something about it! Don't just complain about it!

I don't wear lipstick, but doing something to make it seem like you have your life together on the outside will make you feel better on the inside guaranteed. Fake it til you make it, am I right?

You are unstoppable. Own that.

If you are going through a hard time just remember to make the most of it. View life's struggles as an opportunity to grow and conquer.

Once again, in this world of social media and instant gratification, we feel the need to publicly pat ourselves on the back to get the recognition from others that we so desperately desire. Just do what you need to do. If you do a good job people will notice.

Don't look ahead at the miles you have to go, just start moving. All you can do is take life one day at a time. If you can do that, you will be alright.

Get to work, because this is a skill you can't afford to not have. Every area of your life is going to require a strong will if you ever want to achieve anything at all.

My Dad shared this with me when struggling with a professor. You can get through anything you just may have to change how you go about it!

Sorry Nike, but Shia says it best.

Get up and get moving. You've got this and it is about time you started believing that! Good luck, not that you'll need it, but good luck anyway.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
