We all have our struggles. Some battles feel small, others feel endless. The only difference is how we react and grow from each situation.

In my opinion, "One Tree Hill" is not only a show of friendship and struggle but also growth and the importance of finding yourself. It has quickly become one of the most relatable shows to watch because of how much advice it has to share about life and love.

Lately, I've been feeling pretty down in the dumps and have found myself re-watching "One Tree Hill" for the fourth time. Because of this, I decided to pick out some of the lines that stood out and impacted me the most. Here are 10 "One Tree Hill" quotes that taught us about life:

1. When they taught us about overcoming labels.

"People are going to label you. It's how you overcome those labels, that's what counts."

2. When they taught us about the importance of individuality.

"They are not you."

3. When they taught us about the power of making mistakes.

"So don't be afraid to make mistakes, stumble and fall because most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you get everything you wish for. Maybe you'll get more than you could have ever imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long and in the end, the journey is the destination."

4. When they taught us how to open our hearts.

"Sometimes people put up walls, not to keep people away, but to see who cares enough to tear those walls down."

5. When they taught us how to hope.

"We could all use a little hope sometimes, you know? That feeling that everything is gonna be okay, and that someone is there to help make sure of that."

6. When they taught us the beauty of love.

"Love is a wonderful thing. And it doesn't knock much, so when it does, make sure to open to door."

7. When they taught us that it's okay to make mistakes sometimes.

"Until you face all the mistakes you've made, you'll never change."

8. When they taught us that heartbreak is temporary.

"I realize now, that when your heart breaks, you got to fight like hell to make sure you're still alive. Because you are. That pain you feel? That's life. The confusion and fear? That's there to remind you, that somewhere out there is something better. And that something is worth fighting for."

9. When they taught us to keep pushing and moving forward.

"You can choose to blame your circumstances of fate of bad luck or bad choices. Or you can fight back [ . . .] Things aren't always going to be fair in the real world. That's just the way it is. But for the most part, you get what you give. The rest of your life is being shaped right now. With the dreams you chase, the choices you make, and the person you decide to be. The rest of your life is a long time. And the rest of your life starts right now."

10. When they taught us the meaning of life.

"It's the oldest story in the world. One day, you're 17 and planning for someday. And then quietly, without you're every really noticing, someday is today. And someday is yesterday. And this is your life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
