Does your summer bucket list need a little help? Check out these socially-distant activities:

Go for a hike

Hiking is so much fun and a great way to get outside and moving your body. Hiking is for everybody since no two trails are the same in distance or difficulty. You could even bring a few friends or your dog along for the adventure.

Have a picnic

I love picnicking. You can honesty do this anytime of day but in my opinion sunset picnics are the best! All you need is a grassy area, a blanket, music and some friends. And don't forget the food!

Take a long drive

Some of my favorite memories have been from long drives with friends. You could adventure to another part of your state or even just around your city.

Plan a roadtrip

The purest form of adventure is a road trip.

Not only is going on a trip fun, in my opinion the planning can be even better! Gather up all of your favorite travel sites, pictures and even a map if you need one and plan out a road trip to take this summer. Then, go for it! But please don't forget the mandatory stop at the gas station for snacks.

Go shopping

Can we just be real for a second? We could all probably use an update to our closets and there are so many amazing sales going on. You could even make a day out of it by going to lunch with some friends before the festivities begin.

Have a lake/pool day

There is just something about a day at the lake.

I cannot think of a better way to relax and unwind than time at my favorite lake. Right now, any body of water will do: lake, pool, river or even an inflatable pool in your backyard. Don't have any of that? You can still get that nice summer tan just laying out in the backyard just don't forget the spf!

Plan a game night

Friends gather around a foosball table.

On game nights even shy people are competitive.

This might be the oldest idea but it sure is the most fun. Get all of your favorite games together, invite your friends and play the night away but with snacks of course.

Have a backyard cookout

Fire up that grill and make all of your favorite foods! Hot dogs, chips, hamburgers, potato salad, fruits or even a veggie tray if you are feeling a little crazy. Or, you could invite some friends and make it a potluck!

Staycation at your favorite hotel

Can't go out of state? Don't worry, a staycation makes you feel as though you are on a real vacation. Do some research and pick a hotel that fits your type of staycation then all you have to do is book it and drive there; it can't get any easier!

Hold a movie night under the stars

Turned on projector.

Not many people know this but the light of the projector will attract all of the gross bugs and keep them away from you while you enjoy your movie!

This is such a fun and different thing to do. All you need is a projector of some kind and a surface to project onto I recommend a garage door. Then, pick a movie, gather up all of the comfy blankets and get your popcorn ready.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
