After finishing the entire series of Parks and Recreation for a second time on Netflix, I realized so many scenes can describe scenarios in college prefectly. Whether it be spending time with your housemates or being sick, Parks and Recreation is an amazing show that can be traslated into a college student's life perfectly. Here are my top ten scenes for describing college.
1. Writing a Paper
When you have to write that paper for the one class you can not stand or you just have yet to start.
2. Learning things in class
The one class you actually attend and pay attention in and actually come out learning something new.
3. Spending endless amount of time with your housemates
Whether its a blizzard out and you're snowed in, you both want to go out, or you just want to stay in and do nothing but eat and watch television, you always have at least one person whose always around.
4. Having that one test or presentation you are not ready for
When you have that one test, date, or class that you are dreading your best friend will always let you know you will survive.
5. Free food
No matter what year of college your in Free food means FREE FOOD!
6. Getting money and “Treating Yo Self!”
When you have a rough day and you find some money somehow or a family member sends you some cash to “treat yo self!” to something you can’t normally afford as a college student.
7. When a class gets canceled
When your class is canceled and you have an extra day to do that work you were going to pull an all-nighter for and get some extra sleep.
8. Getting sick
When you get sick at school you don’t have anyone to take care of you and you put off going to the medical center because you feel like you're dying.
9. Picking what you want for a meal.
When you aren't home you get to play chef and make what ever you want even if your parents always said no to it!
10. Finishing a series on Netflix
Finally whether it be Parks and Recreation, Stranger Things, or Orange is the New Black, once you finish it you don't know what to do with your life and slowly debate if you should re watch it or find a new show to binge.
