10 Nickelodeon Moments Us '00 Kids Understand Now

It wasn't just filler TV. They taught us how to be a young adult.

Zoey 101, Ned's Declassified, Drake & Josh, iCarly, the list goes on for our generation that had some awesome TV shows from Nickelodeon. Besides being wacky and unpredictable, these shows actually had some great moments that far surpass these modern shows like Henry Danger and such.

As a college student, these moments from these classic Nickelodeon shows can easily relate to our current situations as young adults, whether it's college, romance, and even the dreaded finals week.

1. Your roommate being loud as hell in the morning

They 'say' they're quiet in the morning, but then they're not. Get it together, folks, we're all trying to survive college together!

2. When a friend/significant other asks if you care but you're really cold on the inside

You don't know how to communicate your love to your friends or significant other, but at the same time you care more about yourself than them...it's just apart of life, I guess.

3. Eating breakfast after a night out on the town

Is there any real explanation for this? Thanks for the emotion here, Naked Brothers Band.

4. When that one professor you hate makes a terrible joke and you're done with their BS

They don't make sense in lecture, they are tough graders, and they always assign homework over Thanksgiving or a long weekend. You hate them, like a brutal dislike of them for those reasons. We can cut the tension with a knife, basically.

5. Finals week, basically

You have five straight days of finals that week and have not even studied for them. I don't think Ned has any tips about cramming for five exams in that short amount of time.

6. Discovering something new in Geography of the US 101

We get it, you're not that smart in Geography. For the longest time, I thought Indiana was next to California. We also know this is a Gen Ed so we don't expect you to be the A-plus kid. D's get degrees!

7. Getting ready to go out be like

You really want to be the best-dressed of your friend group every time, so when they say, "You look fine", just tell them what Alex told Nat on Naked Brothers Band.

8. Seeing your ex at the bar while you're out with your new significant other

JUST ORDER A FEW MORE DRINKS AND EVERYTHING WILL BE OK, REPEAT, EVERYTHING WILL BE OK.

9. Giving a presentation in class that you didn't prepare that well for but try to be professional

You basically read off the PowerPoint, which is typically going to happen when it's for a class that you do not care about as much as the others.

10. When you toss something in the trash while laying in bed and it goes in (because you had a rough day because of school, work, and that date being canceled that night)

This is the cycle of things that occur each and every day, so when you toss that last can of Mountain Dew in the recycling bin while in bed, that just shows that it's the little victories that count.

I miss these shows, and deep down they taught me a lot about growing up and stuff. Zoey 101 prepared me for college life, Drake & Josh exemplified how families come together, and Jerry Trainor taught me that being two insane characters on two different shows is acutally successful. What did these shows teach you about life?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
