New Year's Eve is just a few days away and you already have perfect plans to celebrate it. Maybe it is in a bar, club, someone’s house, or in Market Square, there could always be something to make your experience go bad. Here are bare necessities for having a stress-free New Year's celebration.

1. Comfortable Shoes

There is a chance that you will be standing for the majority of the night, so having comfortable shoes on is a must. If it is not possible to compromise your cute outfit with comfy shoes, then having insoles is the way to go.

2. Warm Fuzzy Socks

Depending on the city that you're in, this December weather might not be as cold as other states’, but it does not hurt to have these on hand. Have these just in case you decide to go ice skating in Market Square as you wait for the ball to drop.

3. Fleece or Thermal Leggings

If you are going to be outside more than 15 minutes then having a warm pair of leggings is a must. You do not have to wear a dress to have leggings on. You can also wear these with a pair of nice jeans and no one would need to know. Not having these can make standing outside for hours in the square a miserable experience in the cold weather.

4. Touchscreen Gloves

There is nothing worse than having to take off your warm gloves so you can use your phone in the freezing cold. Having gloves that are compatible with touchscreen phones is a must.

5. Handwarmers

If you can not find a good pair of gloves then hand warmers are the next best thing. If you already have gloves then hand warmers can also be a great way to meet a cutie to kiss at midnight by offering a pair to them.

6. Earmuffs

Instead of buying a warm hat that could ruin your hairstyle for the night, a pair of earmuffs would be a cute accessory for your outfit.

7. Lip Balm or Moisturizing Lipstick

There is nothing worse than having chapped lips on the night before the New Year. The cold weather can ruin a great moment at midnight, so let's make sure that does not happen.

8. Mints

Who wants to kiss someone with breath that reeks of alcohol or the dinner they just ate? Have some Altoids on hand to prevent any awkward encounters.

9. Power Bank Charger

Having your phone dead with hours left to spare can be the worst. Have a charger on hand so you can take endless selfies and pictures through the night and also save the cutie’s number that you meet that night.

10. Pocket-Sized Breathalyzer

After a night of drinking and having fun, it's time to go home. If there is no designated driver and you are feeling paranoid about your alcohol intake then a breathalyzer is what you need. Do not end the night with a ticket or worse.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
