Ahh yes, 2017 is finally here. As we all start to question if we want to have another new year’s resolution, we should also start to realize that chances are, you aren’t going to achieve your goal even though you thought you would. Think about it. Did you ever accomplish your previous ones? Maybe, but maybe not.
Here’s the thing about making new year’s resolutions. We tend to make one big goal instead of little ones. Why is it so hard to accomplish a big goal? Because they usually take a long time to achieve. However, if we make mini goals, it is much easier to achieve them. Mini goals can turn into mini victories.
So here are 10 things that could be mini goals for you for this upcoming year.
1. Work out 3 times a week.
2. Read a book, and actually finish it.
3. Spend 15 minutes every day reading the bible or listening to God’s word.
4. Set aside a select amount of money from each paycheck for savings.
5. Remember to find the good in everyone.
6. Be honest with yourself and with others.
7. Clean up a part of your house every day, not just pick up but organize and legitimately clean.
8. Help 3 people in need.
9. Go on at least 1 trip to a place you have never been to.
10. Try 3 different types of food to expand your taste palette.
Mini goals are way easier to accomplish than one big goal. Having mini victories will keep you more motivated to continue that goal later on.
