We are only human. Lists help.

These are ten of my go-to lists in my phone's "Notes". Whether you're busy, forgetful, organized, or all of the above - these lists have saved me a lot of time.

1. Movies to watch

How many times have you seen a movie preview that leaves you telling yourself, "I need to see that!"?

2. Songs to listen to

For all the times your friends suggest music or someone says "this song reminds me of you!"...

3. Names I need to remember

Between doctors, who to contact for job opportunities, classmates, and more - names are important.

4. Topics to research

For all the times you think of, or hear about, something that intrigues you.

5. Important dates to remember

We are social beings who have commitments, meetings, appointments, holidays, birthdays, and SO MANY MORE THINGS.

6. Article title/topic ideas

Whenever I think of a topic I could later write about, I save it for when I have writer's block. If I randomly think of a phrase that could be an attention-grabbing title I save it for when I have content to add along with it.

7. Links to articles to read

For all the articles someone sends you, or you save, to be read when time allows.

8. What to pick up at the store

Because no one likes making it all the way back home, to think "UGH! I forgot to get that!!"

9. What I need to do for the day

Especially for the days that are left after much procrastination. When there is plenty to be done, I need to know exactly everything I have to do by the end of the day.

10. Homework for the night/weekend

Given that most homework is electronic or simply reading, adding in which websites or page numbers must be completed is very helpful.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
