I think we all have shows that we enjoy for one reason or another, and for me "Friends" is my favorite show of all time. There are so many different aspects to the show, which means that so many different kinds of people can enjoy it. Even though it hasn't been on the air for thirteen years, the life lessons throughout it are timeless.

1. If you're not happy with something, you have the ability to change it.

Even if you think you don't, most of the time you do. Never stick with something that makes you miserable, you'll end up hurting yourself in the long run. It may be easy to say that things are just the way they are, but you can change them if you want to bad enough.

2. Things might not be so great right now, but they will get better.

This is a hard thing for many people to accept, but it's true. Realistically, many of our problems won't even matter in the long run, so don't stress yourself out too much.

3. Always embrace your inner child.

Growing up sucks, don't let it take away who you are on the inside. Just because you're an adult doesn't mean you aren't allowed to have fun.

4. Love yourself for who you are.

Again, this is something that is very hard for many people, including myself. However, it's true. The only person that is truly there for you is yourself.

5. Be grateful for what you have, because not everyone is as lucky as you.

Not just around the holidays, be grateful all the time.

6. Appreciate your loved ones.

Never go to bed with unresolved issues with someone, you never know if you'll wake up and find out that they're gone. Hold your loved ones close to you and never let them go.

7. Do the best that you can, even if it's for something simple.

Whether it's working at a diner or singing in the local coffee house, put all of your effort into it. Hard work pays off, no matter how small.

8. Sometimes the people you trust are the ones that betray you.

Don't always have blind faith in everyone that says they're there for you, because it's not always true.

9. Don't be afraid to take time for yourself.

You can't live your life when you're always worrying about other people, you have to worry about yourself too.

10. Surround yourself with people that care about you.

Life is short, don't waste it by spending time with people that couldn't care less about you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
