Fall is a magical time and here are some suggestions for items to keep you looking as beautiful and vibrant as the leaves outside.

It's October and the leaves have practically all fallen, so what the hell are you doing still wearing shorts and a tank top? The weather isn't going to stay warm forever, even with the unseasonably warm temperatures outside. To keep you looking cute throughout the autumn months, here are some must-have items.

1. Ripped Jeans

No matter the wash and no matter the season, ripped jeans will stay trendy until the day we need to start dressing business casual for our real jobs. Ripped or distressed jeans are the perfect way to add edge to any look.

2. Boots

Whether it's ankle booties, over-the-knee boots or Hunter rain boots, boots are the most stereotypical fall necessity known to mankind.

3. Muted Florals

Florals are usually associated with Spring and Summer, but just because the flowers outside are dead, doesn't mean you have to stop wearing them. Wearing dark or muted florals are a nice way to keep the pattern fall-appropriate.

4. Plaid / Plaid Flannel Shirt

Maybe we're drawn to plaid for the collegiate feel at the beginning of the semester or maybe it's because we all secretly want to be Cher from Clueless. No matter, plaid, and especially plaid flannels are always in for fall.

5. Overalls

Not just for farmers anymore. Overalls are an easy piece to work with as the weather changes in fall. You can throw a t-shirt or a sweater under them depending on the temperature outside.

6. Light Sweaters

It's not quite winter yet, so light sweaters are nice to wear both outside and inside when the weather is transitioning.

7. Cold Shoulder

Even though it's getting warmer, the cold shoulder sweaters, tops and dresses are still going to be a thing this fall.

8. Denim / Army Jackets

Both of these styles of jackets are light but will keep you warm for any fall breezes.

9. Scarves

How could you not want to invest in something stylish that can also be used as a blanket?

10. Leggings

I mean....duh. Leggings will keep you warm and be there for you like no one else can. They're comfy and can be styled up or dressed down.

These 10 items are only my suggestions for fall style. No matter if your favorite pieces or style are not represented on this list, work and love what you want to wear! There are no wrongs in fashion.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
