Memes and Finals week were meant for each other, so why on earth would I keep them apart?

Oh finals, how you plague us semester after semester. You mock us, exhaust us, and make sure we feel genuine remorse for our procrastination. You have this way of undermining my constant reminder "grades do not define me, grades do not define me".

Why should I let you have all the fun? No, I have someone who believes in me. He knows I've got this...

Finals, let me introduce you to

Ryan Gosling

Hello Noah I mean Ryan. Maybe you, like me, throughly enjoyed the "Hey girl" memes that were quite popular a couple years ago. I feel that now is as good as a time to bring them back. So in honor of finals week, here are some of the best hey girls about finals.

Okay Ryan, I'll try my best, just for you (and my education I guess).

You know I was really starting to doubt myself, but knowing that you believe in me, I feel like I can conquer the world.

Ryan, I'm SO glad you appreciate my brains and education.

Honestly, as I was looking at the hey girls, I found some non-ryan ones that are worth the honorable mention. Here they are:

Pride and Prejudice- Mr. Darcy

While this is the Colin Firth P&P and not the Kiera Knightly P&P, still totally relevant and lovable. Mr. Darcy knows what to look for in a woman.

Luke Bryan

For those of us who appreciate the country side of life, Luke Bryan. Let'e be honest, some one is out there right now studying for their finals listening to Luke Bryan (may or may not be me).

Why should we let hey girl memes have all the fun? I could help but also love these *highly* relevant memes.

Bad Luck Bryan

We've all been there Bad Luck Bryan. Let's just hope this doesn't happen to anyone this finals season.

Doge

Doge knows exactly how I look and feel after I emerge from the basement of the library, desperately trying to learn a semester's worth of lessons.

Leo (Jack <3)

Leo just knows how I will feel when I leave the final where I didn't even know the answer to the first question.

Finally,

We all will be suffering this next week, but at least we will suffer together. While you feel discouraged, remember that Ryan believes in you, Mr.Darcy knows your studying isn't futile, Luke Bryan is Luke Bryaning, it probably wont be as bad as Bad Luck Bryan (sorry Bryan), Doge will give you the words to describe your intensive studying, Leo will walk along side you, and you are going to stand up to finals and show them whose boss.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
