Freshmen year of college is intimidating especially when you have no idea what to bring! I remember searching online for hours on what to bring and looking through countless lists. I have picked 10 essentials for college freshmen which are useful and will make Freshman year feel like a breeze.

1. Tide Pods

You do not want to be dealing with liquid detergent at 1 A.M.

2. Venmo

Who even wants to deal with counting cash? The easiest way to payback anyone in college.

3. Noise-cancelling headphones

Nobody wants to hear their neighbor's conversations. Enough said.

4. Stick-on card holder

Who wants to carry around their wallet everywhere? Keep your essential cards (school ID, housing card, debit card, etc.) and never carry a wallet again.

5. Touchscreen gloves

When it's too cold to even function, but you need to use your phone walking from class to class. Priorities.

6. Fan

Basically, when mother nature feels the exact opposite as number 5.

7. Wireless speaker

Music is just a life essential.

8. Portable charger

Because phones die at the most inconvenient times.

9. Puffy hat

Keeps you warm, but also looking cute.

10. Power strips

Flex your power. Duh.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
