10 Guilty Pleasures Every Girl Has But Will Take To The Grave

Don't try to deny it!

10 Guilty Pleasures Every Girl Has But Will Take To The Grave

It's embarrassing to admit, but we all have a few things we wouldn't openly share with strangers- our favorite TV shows, a playlist we wouldn't want anyone to see, or even a secret hobby we would never do in public.

Although these can vary by person, some of us could probably bond over the same guilty pleasures. I'm not ashamed to admit I still listen to One Direction on occasion, simply for the sense of nostalgia it brings me. No, I'm not hoping and praying they'll get back together. It's just fun to be taken back to a time when things were simpler.

1. Reality TV.

You can't tell me you haven't sat through a whole season of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" or "Real Housewives." They are on TV for a reason... they can be addicting.

2. Impulsive spending.

Maybe going to the mall and spending $300 wasn't the best idea, but it felt really good at the time. But hey, it only becomes an addiction when you repeatedly do it.

3. Disney music.

Even if you hate Disney (who even are you??) I'm sure you know all the words to the classic songs. And when they come on, you can't tell me it's not fun.

4. Hours on YouTube.

YouTube is a rabbit hole some of us simply cannot resist. One video turns to 15 in a matter of minutes. It can range from makeup videos to videos of cats falling into toilets, you'll never know until it happens.

5. Celebrity magazines.

Even though we know half of the stuff in these magazines isn't true, it's still entertaining to see where they came up with the ideas for the clickbait.

6. Social media stalking.

It's not that hard to find out everything about someone from their Facebook profile. But sometimes, you end up on their stepdads' sisters' husbands' page, and then it gets weird.

7. Singing in the shower.

It could even turn into dancing while holding a hairbrush and belting your heart out. My bathroom mirror sees a full-blown performance.

8. Damsel in distress.

We could probably reach the cup on the top shelf if we really tried, but it's quite charming to see a man grab it for you effortlessly. (Sorry, not sorry.)

9. Wedding planning.

I started planning my own wedding in high school. The theme, the dress, the DJ. Sorry boys, but we already have everything set in our minds.

10. Useless beauty products.

There are just way too many fancy skin products at Sephora to choose from. I must get them all for my skin to be clear...

I'm sure there are many guilty pleasures that you personally have that aren't listed, but these are just the beginning.

Maybe instead of hiding them, we could use them to bond with our other female companions. Instead of talking about work and the weather, let's just start talking about how often we stalk people on social media or what our perfect wedding looks like.

It sounds like a good conversation starter to me!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
